Sâncrăieni (Csíkszentkirály)

Sâncrăieni is situated in Lower Ciuc, at 651 m above sea level, in the valley of Olt river, in the middle of the mineral water spring zone, which had a total of over 100 carbonated mineral water springs. This is the biggest and richest mineral waters zone in whole Carpathian Mountains, not only in Harghita county.

Accesspoints

Accessible through National Road no. 12 between Tușnad and Miercurea Ciuc (7 km. south from Miercurea-Ciuc) and railroad line 400, between Brașov and Ciceu.

Mineral waters

In the Sâncrăieni are registered officially over 80 natural mineral water springs and fountains. The waters of main springs are bottled in two bottling factories under names "Harghita" and "Perla Harghitei" (Pearl of Harghita), the most popular brands in Romania. The water bottled here is also exported in other countries. The waters are rich in carbon dioxide, Ca, Mg, Na, ions. Temperature of the springs varies between 16-18 C degrees. The main springs are: "Harghita" and "Borsaros".
